The search begins with the details
For the set you already love.
Our starting focus is French vintage cutlery: matching forks, spoons and serving pieces. You can also ask about a plate or another small piece of French tableware. Each request is assessed individually before we agree to a search.
You do not need to know the pattern name. Clear photographs, dimensions and any maker’s marks help us establish what to look for. We explain any uncertainty rather than promise an exact match we cannot verify.

From your reference to a considered match.

Show us your piece.
Share photographs of the front, back and marks, the measurements, quantity needed and your total budget.

Agree the search.
We discuss the reference, acceptable condition, search scope, timeframe and proposed fees. Paid work begins only after you accept the written terms.

Review what we find.
If a candidate is found, we present its photographs, dimensions, condition and the evidence for the match, together with an itemised quote.

You decide.
You approve the proposed piece and total cost before any purchase on your behalf. Delivery arrangements and applicable return terms are confirmed in writing.
Clear expectations
A search, with terms agreed in advance.
Every search is quoted individually. The proposal states whether a research fee, a success fee or both apply, when each becomes payable, and what happens if no suitable piece is found.
The object price, service fees, packing, delivery and any applicable import charges are set out before you accept a purchase. Sending an enquiry does not place an order or authorise a charge.
Availability cannot be guaranteed. A visually similar piece may differ in size, maker, pattern or finish; any differences we identify will be disclosed for your review.

Before you ask us to search.
Can you guarantee an exact match?
No. We compare the available evidence and disclose differences or uncertainty. You review the proposed piece before deciding to buy it.
What if I do not know the maker or pattern?
Send clear photographs of the object and its marks, plus dimensions. We can review whether there is enough information to define a search.
Is the enquiry a purchase?
No. It starts a conversation. Search fees, scope and conditions must be accepted separately, and any purchase needs your approval.
What if no piece is found?
The written proposal will explain the search period, any research fees and what happens if no suitable match is found. We do not promise a result or an unagreed refund.
Can you arrange delivery outside France?
Include your delivery country and postal code. Feasibility, packing, transport and any applicable import charges are assessed for the proposed piece before you accept a quote.
